Brett’s Property Maintenance Pty Ltd – Terms and Conditions

1. Payment Terms

  1. Payment is due on receipt of invoice.
  2. If you have chosen your invoice to be emailed to you please check your Junk Mail folder for its receipt
  3. Invoices are generated on the day of the service has been performed & sent the following day. For services completed on a Friday, the invoice is generated on the Friday, but sent on the following Monday.
  4. If you find it inconvenient to make regular payments, we offer a prepayment option. This can be just one extra payment, or a bulk amount of your choosing. We run a MYOB accounting package, and we can send you a statement at any time, when requested, showing your current balance.
  5. If at any time you are experiencing financial difficulties and are unable to make your payment please contact us immediately to discuss alternative payment options.
  6. Please advise if you are going on holidays or away for an extended period. We would appreciate if your account is prepaid and in credit prior to your departure to ensure your service is maintained.
  7. All payment options are noted on the invoice. Please include the Invoice Number and Invoice Name with your payment.
  8. If paying by cheque, please make cheque out to “Brett’s Property Maintenance Pty Ltd”. Our bank will not accept cheques if they are not made out to this full name.

2. Frequency of Service

  1. If you have selected a regular mowing service we will service your property at a minimum of fortnightly from September to the end of May and then every four weeks outside of these months.
  2. If you have selected a regular Gardening service we will service your property every four weeks all year round.

3. Text Alerts

  1. We offer a text reminder service to alert you to our next visit - at no extra cost.
  2. Receiving a TXT reminder is also an opportunity to let us know if there is any small tasks that you would like to add to you service, but not an opportunity to cancel the service.
  3. Please provide your mobile details, if you require this reminder service.

4. Cancellations

  1. We require seven (7) days notice to cancel a service. Please contact Brett directly to cancel a service.

5. Changes

  1. Please contact Brett directly if there are any changes to your home/property that our staff need to be made aware of for the next service. Email to brett@brettspm.com.au or phone/text to M: 0412 173 850.
  2. Example of changes are new pets, change in cutting height for lawn or hedges, etc.

6. Damage to Property

  1. In the very rare case you find any damage to your property after one of our services, please contact Brett directly to advise.

  2. After investigation, we will cover costs for the repair of any reasonable damage found to be caused by the neglect of our staff. For example a Hedge Trimmer Cutting through a Pool Fence while trimming a Hedge, we will organise through our own sources a repair or replacement Pool Fence panel.
  3. Unfortunately, we are unable to cover costs for repairs caused by what we class as “unavoidable damage”. Unavoidable damage is damage “that has been caused by an ‘unavoidable accident” for example a rock or any item in the grass that has been thrown up by the lawn mower, and has caused damage.

7. Poisoning Service

  1. An integral part of our Basic Mowing Service is the poisoning service where we apply poison to hard surface areas – this is a FREE service to our regular customers.
  2. If due to poor weather, the poisoning is not completed there is no reduction in price as this part of the service is provided at no charge.
  3. If you do not wish to have the poisoning service please contact Brett directly to advise.

8. Price Reviews

  1. Prices are reviewed annually at the start of the calendar year. If it is deemed that the regular price for your service needs to be adjusted, this will be reflected in your next invoice.
  2. If you have a fixed price mowing service, there may be occasions where the regular price will temporarily be adjusted. This may be during peak growing times where due to wet weather conditions &/or long grass, extra time is required to complete your service.
  3. If at these times, your service cannot be reasonably completed within the normal allotted time you will be charged at our hourly rate of $130.00 per hour. (NB IF this occurs, it will only occur once or twice per year – usually in January or February.)

9. Feedback
